Let’s Just Bag It.

There are two types of bag lovers in the world; 1: The one who holds on to that “good one” until the straps fall off and, 2: The everyday changer with a collection for each season.

But whether you’re a bag lover number 1 or 2, Grishley has put together some of the cutest and most affordable bags of the season, and perhaps you can even spoil yourself with a new special occasion clutch with the dough you save!

There are three great trends coming for spring, including the cross body bag, the travel pack and the special occasion clutch! The best part about all of these looks is that they are totally versitile, and they come in enough styles and prints that you are destined to find one that you love in every trend!

The Cross-Body Bag

The cross body bag is a great bag purchase for a girl on the run, it is a great hippie-esque accent that you can add to any wardrobe. Try adding even more spice with a great pattern or foax leather finish! This one is available from Kohl’s and rings in at just under $50. This little lovely comes in a variety of colors including a melon green, a cobalt a black and this adorable orange sherbert color!

  The Special Occasion Clutch

If you haven’t picked up a clutch yet, then it is about time, not only will it become an evening time statement with those cute pencils skirts, and high waisters that you have been dying to wear all winter, but the clutch is also an amazing daytime bag paired with denim for a late lunch. This one is also from Kohl’s  and comes in a multitude of adorable colors including a deep purple and a rouge red that would make even a seasoned bag lover blush. This puppy is on sale currently and will only set you back about $16. What a steal!

The Travel Pack

With nice weather come weekend or day trips to far off locations, so a fashionable travel pack is a must. This baby will not only hold enough necessities and whatnot, but also transitions greatly from suitcase style utility to a great daytime/farmers market bag. This one from Kohl’s rings in at about $24, and will make a beautiful transistion into fall!

Snack Time

With a little dropped hint from a Grishley fan (Allie pants!), this post will not only keep you looking fashionable on the outside, but also keep you feeling fashionable on  the inside. With three great pairs of heels, and three great snacks that will suit you inside and out for whatever life throws as you!

First of all, we’ve all been there, 4 hours into a roadtrip and starving to death, cramming for a final in the library and wondering whether or not the growling in your stomach is disturbing others in the quiet zone, or best of all babysitting stuck in traffic with a couple kids crying because their Fruit by the Foot came up about a foot short.

So here are some killer snacks to keep you powerd up and feeling healthy, as well as some uber cute shoes that will help you find that lovin’ feeling, (o-o-oh that lovin’ fe-e-e-elin!).

Ask any health nut and they will tell you (or just take thanksgiving for example) that carbs are one way to not only put you to sleep, but if you eat the wrong kind, will also put a little more love in your handles. So here is one great snack that is not only high in fiber, but also rich in brain boosting monounsaturated fat! Better yet tastes super awesome!

Granny Smith Apples and PeanutButter is by far one of Grishley‘s favorite snacks! It is a Vitamin packed powerhouse that will not only keep you awake with natural sugar, but also keep you full and um well…regular?  This snack is also an inexpensive one, and can always be dressed up extra special with a drizzle of honey!

And considering that luscious green hue is so eyecatching, how about these killer cute pumps for spring! They are from the love of Grishley’s life Modcloth, and they are only about $40.

Another great snack that will not only keep your tummy quiet, but also those two little kids you babysit, is an all-time classic. Celery sticks with cream cheese.  These babies are loaded with protein, and fiber. They are equally deliscious with classic cream cheese as they are with strawberry flavored cream cheese, and easy to dress

The kid friendliness factor of this snack is epic, first of all they can help make them while you…update your blog, or whatever it is that you do!

Second they won’t be bouncing off the walls like when they snack on their pudding cup alternatives. The low sugar factor of this snack will also help out older bellies to, with protein that can help steady blood sugar, as well as that psychologically satisfying crunch youre used to finding in potato chips!

To go along with your new found attitude, why not class it up with these super cute celery tone heels from Modcloth. They will only set you back about $63, but they will haveyou pacing stylishly from season to season!

Last but not least, when it comes to epicly yummy snacks, don’t forget about dried cranberries and roasted almonds. Like the other snacks we love this tasty twosome is packed with natural protein, monounsaturated fat (the good kind like in avacados) and also natural sugar to perk you up!

If you love the combo of dried cranberries and almonds, then look for them in bulk at your local grocery store (a winco or costco). This snack pack will not only be cheaper if you shake it together yourself, but it will also help you save some cash! In the essence of loving your snacks and your heels, check out this last pair that just arrived at ModCloth! This pair will have you summer wedding ready in a hurry, ringing in at only about $38!

They are not only super cutewith their red hue, but they are also a great staple shape to add to your already budding shoe collection. They are tall, scalloped and a great mixture of color and metallic finish, the perfect pair to take you from demure lunch date to late night kitty kat.

Happy Snacking-xoxo Grishley

Presentation?

Finals week can bring on presentation after presentation, but for fashionistas it is just another excuse to put an outfit together, and shine up some patent pumps!

This look came together in the blink of an eye. Made up of some super easy to wear bargain pieces that not only look snazzy, but also look expensive. This top is from Burlington Coat Factory ringing in at a price of about $9,  this skirt was a Vegas vacation find that only added up to about $10 at Urban Outfitters! These pumps however have been an old standby for forever (you know the ones your girlfriends of similar foot size always hint at borrowing) coming from Charlotte Russe at the sweet sound of $20.

The rings used to accessorize this look are both vintage, and help add ease to this otherwise spiffy office look.

This look comes together through the strict rules of proportion, first the top has a lot of volume, which mixes well with the narrow fitting skirt. When bringing together an outfit like this alway think triangles! Either big on top and narrow on bottom, or loose on bottom and narrow on top!

Happy Styling!- xoxox Grishley
