Don’t worry Grishley readers! This blog isn’t finished yet! Between creating a collection, and moving back home for three weeks, Grishley has been a bit preoccupied with packing/unpacking, sewing/seamripping, trying to get into Hong Kong bikini shape, and catching up on sleep! But just for your faithfulness here is a sneak peak in what is to come from some much overdue posts!
This is the first (and by far the favorite) of the 5 look collection that I am working for the 2011 Mom’s Weekend Fashion Show. Now while you may be wondering why on earth I am working on it right now…TIME! With as crazy as school gets and as crooked as seams can quickly become in a hurry this collection needed to get underway in a flash!
This second piece fits like a dream and it is a bit of a ladylike take on a rugby/sailor look. It has a high collar and front bow that is not only feminine but also looks great with a pair of heels!
It started out as a great/simple shift dress, but needed a little something extra and the added bow not only looks great cascading over a waistbelt, but also looks great peeking out form under a great warm weather cardigan. A look that will surely translate easily from day to night. This look is currently in the works in another color for my upcoming trip to Hong Kong!
Lastly this piece is a work in progress, and is giving Grishley a little bit of a headache thinking about the fact that the whole thing needs to come apart so a thicker waistband can be added. But when in doubt let it out! (and sneak in a waistband!)
So there you go, a little itty bitty preview so what Grishley has been occupied with!
MORE TO COME! xoxo-Grishley
