While Michelle Obama may not be wearing one of my designs anytime soon, this dress that I made had a bit of her inspiration in it. This is the first dress that I have made with my internship/scholarship to the Palmer/Pletsch school of sewing in Portland!
This little lovely is made out of stretch cotton and I included an exposed zipper. I like this garment for a couple reasons…1- I really like the fabric! This cotton was only $7.99 a yard before my student discount! It is a bit reminiscent of Balenciaga for me, or a bit like the DVF ads that ran a few years ago.

For this look I paired my new dress with simple accessories, black patent pumps and a waistbelt! Where are these awesome photos taken? Oh no big just having dinner at my Boss’ house!

More to come soon from my Portland adventures!
