I wanna be like Mike!

I will. I can. I am.

This is a collection I would design if I worked for Nike! Hope you enjoy!

Onward and Upward

The Best Advice I have ever been given.

Corvallis doesn’t get as many sunny days as one would like this time of year, and the not so pleasant weather can make those not so pleasant moments in your life more difficult than expected.

But over the beginning of this year I have been given some of the best advice ever. The advice came from one of my mentors, a woman who not only paved her own way in the business world, but also in the other aspects of her life. Her advice was;

“If things are meant to be, they will be. People die, people get sick, people change, even if you have a plan, things still don’t work out. If it is meant to be it will be”.

I’ll let you take that one to heart, and let you apply it to every aspect of your life.

More to come!

High-Ate-Us…

It is time to start blogging again I suppose…

After a few weeks of getting my life in order, and doing a bit of eat, pray, loving for myself, Grishley is back in action and ready to start blogging!

This new year has brought its own challenges, and brought on so many new rewards that I am incredibly thankful for!  But most importantly it has awarded me with time to sew!!!

This is a dress I made for new years eve, but didn’t end up wearing out! I will have to find a sunny day for it now as it is just so cute with it’s exposed zipper and inseam pockets!

More to come this week!

The quickest fix!

Need a place to store your goods?

Having to carry all of my sewing supplies, as well as my pattern drafting supplies have put me in deathy fear of ripping a hole in my backpack lately, so over christmas break I whipped up this little baby to carry all 4 pairs of my scissors and everything else sharp and pokey!

I sewed two pieces of broadcloth together and turned them right side out and pressed up the bottom half to the length of my longest pair of scissors, I then chalked in some lines to follow to make sure I could carry all of my junk!

The fold over top comes in handy to make sure your tools don’t fall out the other end, and they roll up nicely like a burrito!

A 10 minute fix to one of life’s little problems!
