Things I ‘ll be craving this weekend… None of which I’ll be owning for awhile.
It is flooding in Corvallis, and with every Oregonian bone in my body, I feel as though the price tag of these boots might just be justified??? Perhaps deciding on the color now and then saving until next year to buy them…. Oh the Northwest!
Last night was the third annual Red Dress Fashion Show at OSU! Here is my submission modeled by the beautiful Nicole Ognibene! World AIDS Day may have been in December but it is always a good time to spread the word about prevention and care!
No no not THE man but MY man… I’ll have to admit I have snagged myself a stylish one, and must also add that I’ll roll out of bed and into jeans and a sweatshirt and he’ll somehow manage to find a way to wear his wingtips… ugh it is so hard not being the glam one!
Bah! Is it the weekend yet?
All I need now is some sunshine so I can stop wearing tights… perhaps I am also going to need a heavy dose of self tanner… Sigh. Love this look.
I have been debating about a new haircut… chances are I won’t do anything but here’s hoping!
I have for some time been obsessed with the now late Etta James, and it was a shock to me to hear of her death today. Perhaps this is another small reminder from a distant circle to pay passion forward, if Etta never sang, and I never heard her music, who knows what my design sense would be. If I didn’t design the way I do, my identity- I am sure would be a lot different than it is today.
Lesson learned today… take your passion and run with it authentically and take inspiration from those who have done the same. In a world at a loss for originality perhaps having the courage to pursue one’s true passion is key. A life lived in fear of failing is a life lost, and without courage to seek the dreams that keep us awake at night, we’d just be everyone else.
Sometime there are just photos that take your breath away… this happens to be one of them. Valentines anyone?
Here are some settings that have me longing for spring…
